Characteristics of Hand-Made Clear Glass
Handmade glass reflects the manner in which it is formed. Small, trapped air bubbles, formed when the molten glass was gathered in a rolling manner from the furnace may be present. The hand manipulation of glass creates flow lines and chill marks that are sometimes visible.
These distinguishing features are the inevitable product of personal craftsmanship and are not considered defects. In moderation, the features described are the natural assets of handmade glass. They are, in fact, what make a hand made glass piece truly unique.
